Amazing early 1930s dress! The bodice is made of semi-sheer, paper thin cotton. It has cutout sleeves that flutter beautifully when you move. The skirt is made of crisp cotton in a fun deco print, in shades of orange, yellow, green, and dark brown. There’s an attached belt that can be worn to either the front or back. So charming!
BEST FITS: S (no closures, so you should be able to slide this over your head)
BUST: 36”
WAIST: 30”
HIP: 42”
LENGTH: 40.5” (with 2.5” seam allowance)
FLAWS: the underarms have been patched with white cotton. There are mends to either side of the dress where the belt attaches. Both underarms have mends as well. The mends are a little primitive, but imo that adds to the charm of a piece like this. There are also some teeny tiny rust spots and holes along the back right shoulder, likely from being kept on a wire hanger. Overall, this piece presents great!
