Rare and coveted t-shirt from the late 1940s or early 50s! Welgrume was an early sportswear company known for their trippy, brightly colored graphics, and this tee delivers just that. It depicts a scene of two men rowing a canoe, in electric colors. Is that a sail behind them, or a giant leaf? Who can say! A wide waistband and slightly puffed sleeves elevate the look. I think this shirt was originally a menswear piece.
SHOULDER: 19.5”
BUST: 40” to a tight 43”
WAIST: 34”-41”
LENGTH: 23”
CONDITION: very good. The graphic is slightly faded and worn in. There are a couple spots on the front near the bottom, and a weird little mend on the back seam of the waistband. The collar is lightly yellowed.
