Absolutely bonkers incredible amazing mid 1920s gown. A once in a lifetime piece. Easily the best I've ever found and probably couture although it's unlabeled.
The dress is made of black silk chiffon and covered in thousands upon thousands of silver glass beads and prong-set rhinestones that create a sort of trompe l'oeil dress within a dress effect. There's a high slit on one side of the beaded part that opens up to the handkerchief hem which has scalloped edges and floats around beautifully as you move.
FITS LIKE: S/M (There are no closures, so you'll have to slip it over your head)
BUST: 38”
WAIST: 36”
HIP: up to 46”
LENGTH: 51”
FLAWS: This dress has just been professionally restored and is ready to wear. Underdress is missing. There's some minor bead loss. The fabric on the straps is slightly frayed but sturdy. It's in remarkably good condition for a piece with so much heavy beading on 100 year old chiffon!
