This early 1930s gown is easily one of the most fantastic pieces I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. The person who sold it to me told me that it was worn to one of the first Oscar ceremonies. I have no way to verify this, but it’s a fascinating thought!

Features:
- acid green silk chiffon, finely woven with metallic bronze thread, dotted with deep brown daisies and gold bullion leaves. When the light hits this dress, it is pure shimmering magic!
- a trail of black velvet flowers leads to a cheeky slit on the front of the skirt
- weighted cowl neck
- attached fabric belt with exquisite stamped filigree and Czech glass buckle
- scooped back trimmed with black velvet flowers
- super flattering gathers at the bum
- sweeping, fluttering hemline

FITS LIKE: S
BUST: 35”
WAIST: 28”
HIP: 38”
LENGTH: 54”
CONDITION: very good. Some light brown stains on the dress that are on the larger side but hide very well in the print/sweep. A couple awkward stitches at the back waistline on the left side, and some light scuffing the where the belt buckle meets the fabric at the waist. See pics. Does not detract! Presents impeccably!
