Incredible, rare 1930s dress set. Super chic, understated glamour. Really well made with great attention to detail. You can see where a label was once present in the coat and I really wish it was still around so we could know who made this gorgeous piece! It does have some flaws but is sooooo good.
Has kind of a linen look but is actually a lightweight wool blend (not itchy!) in a sandy beige color. Jacket is lined in peach silk crepe.
FITS LIKE: S/M
BUST: 36” up to a tight 38”
WAIST: 30” dress, probably best for 28”
HIP: 37-40”
LENGTH: 42” dress; 34” jacket
SHOULDER: 15”
FLAWS: The lining of the jacket has water staining throughout. There lightened areas in the wool part of the left interior edge of the jacket — none of these are visible when worn but they’re probably the most significant stains on the whole set. There is some wear along the edges of the fabric on the belt buckle. The dress has some underarm discoloration, a cluster of very faint rusty stains near the bottom left side, and three lightened areas on the back right side hip area. Overall, despite its flaws, this piece presents very well! I think the heathered quality of the fabric helps hide the areas of discoloration.
