Incredible late 1930s linen maxi dress/dressing gown. It’s got a beautiful, quintessentially 30s print — large tulips with tiny, painterly primary colored flowers within them. The sleeves are slightly puffed, with lightly peaked shoulders. There’s a snap closure at the waist, and a matching tie belt.
FITS LIKE: S/ M
FLAWS: when I got this, it was really yellowed and covered in small rusty stains, almost like foxing. I soaked it twice, and it has greatly improved but there are still some very faintly discolored areas. IMO this blends in with the natural color variation of the linen. There’s a mend on one shoulder. The shop I bought this from wrote a product number inside to collar in market. They also put sticky barcodes inside the collar and on the back of the belt. Those aren’t visible when worn.
