Incredibly chic 1940s wedding suit! Consists of 3 pieces — a dress, a jacket, and a headpiece.
The dress is fairly simple with a crisp, pleated skirt, gathered shoulders, and a lace collar. It zips up the side. The jacket buttons up the front and has super dramatic balloon sleeves with oversized lace cuffs. Both pieces are made from cream colored crepe.
The headpiece is heart-shaped with cream velvet trim and fine white mesh covering the center. A cluster of faux flowers adorns the center. You’ll need to use a couple bobby-pins to make this actually stay on your head securely.
Though originally intended to be worn by a bride, this set also works well as separates for everyday life. I would totally wear the jacket as a blouse!
FITS LIKE: xs/s
BUST: 34” dress; 36” jacket
WAIST: 24-25” dress; 25-26” jacket
HIP: open
LENGTH: 44” dress; 22” jacket
SHOULDER: 15” jacket
headpiece is 10” tall and 13” wide
FLAWS: on the headpiece there are several breaks in the mesh along where it connects to the velvet trim. This could be repaired or you could completely replace the mesh. However, it’s perfectly wearable and not even very noticeable as is. There is some darkening around the inside of the neck in the dress. The dress also has a darkened area around the upper center back. It just kind of reads as a shadow IMO. There’s also a tiny brown spot on one lace cuff on the jacket.
