Charming day dress from the later 1940s (I was able to find some patterns for silhouettes like this from ~1947)
Features:
lightweight rayon in a deep, dusty rose color
folksy floral pattern
lightly padded shoulders
low waistline accented with a bow
metal side zip. I was unable to locate info on the zipper company, but it looks like some european zippers I’ve had from this era, possibly Czech or German?
this dress is slightly sheer so you may want to wear a slip underneath
FITS LIKE: M
BUST: up to 38'“
WAIST: ~34” at natural waist; 40” at the drop waist
HIP: up to 50”
LENGTH: 41”
CONDITION: very good. some light overall fading. There’s a rusty mark near the neckline on the right side, and one on the skirt, same side, about 6” down from the bow. Some slight underarm yellowing. Part of the hem has been reinforced with red thread. You really don’t notice any of these things due to color and pattern of the fabric.
