Stunning swing coat from the late 40s or early 50s. My best guess is 1951!

Features:

  • vibrant persimmon wool felt

  • long, swingy, boxy fit

  • padded shoulders

  • wide sleeves with exaggerated cuffs

  • large floral buttons

  • oversized collar with a dark chocolatey brown velvet underside

  • satin lining with Schwartex label — see last photos for ads from 1950 and 1952

FITS LIKE: M/L

SHOULDER: 16”

BUST: 46”

HIP: 60”

LENGTH: 47”

SLEEVE: 24” (cuffed)

CONDITION: very good. There are some scattered moth tracks that don’t go all the way through. Near the hem on the front there are a couple actual moth holes, and some in the lining.
