A truly incredible late 1930s lounge set by highly collectible and mysterious brand PT Nitor. After much sleuthing it has been determined that Nitor is likely an Italian company which made loungewear in an orientalist style from the 1920s through the early 1940s. This set is unlabeled, but in my research I found an identical jacket with the label still intact that has come for sale before.
*layaway available after 24 hours*
- open front jacket with dramatic bell sleeves and an elegant high collar and ribbon closure
- high waist, wide leg shorts with button closures on both sides. I believe these were likely pants originally, and they were converted into shorts somewhere along the way. But I could be wrong!
- both pieces are made of black rayon crepe and decorated with dense, hand-moved machine embroidery depicting birds, flowers, and foliage.
FITS LIKE: M
JACKET... (these measurements are flexible bc of open fit)
BUST: ~ 40"
WAIST: 28-29" (buttons could be moved to make this smaller or larger)
CONDITION: excellent. Both shoulders have been repaired but the repairs are not noticeable. There is another inconspicuous repair at the nape of the neck. There are a couple light snags on the shorts. You would never know any of these were there if you weren't looking for them.
